Okay, so day 1 pretty much consisted of 36 hours of continuous travel. A car to a plane to a plane to a plane to 7 hours of mountainous driving…but that doesn’t matter because we made it to the isolated town of Huabal, Peru.
We’ve been buying coffee from the growers around Huabal for the last three years and we’ve loved getting to know the farmers better with each passing season. This year, we’ve jetted down here on a mission to enhance our partnership with the greater community and also zero-in on one farmer that shows serious promise as a long-term partner in crafting exceptional coffee. We’ll tell you all more as soon as we can. Until then, here’s a pretty much unedited collage of our first 48 hours.
